"MASK FUN"

This past weekend, I had the good fortune to escape swelter-city and head upstate for some birthday gatherings and other country fun. I brought a small bag of vintage masks that I had purchased many years ago and invited friends to pose with them.  I wanted to see how they might play in this very different context.

Many thanks to: Risa, Maria, Amber, Phil, Sei, Pam and Paula

"POSTER CITY" NYC.

Billboards and posters have always been a big part of the visual vibrancy in NYC.
and the constant play of sophisticated graphic style, scale and abundance keeps
     curious eyes amused.

A HAPPY "POST FOURTH"

a Happy Post Fourth

A few days ago I was biking in Bushwick and came across a wheat paste work in progress.  Chip Thomas, the artist working on the project, told me that the photo used for enlargement was taken by a Magnum stringer named Dan Budnik, and that the image was of a resting participant in the Selma-to-Montgomery March in 1965.
