"FELLOW CITIZENS" NYC.

A tiny fraction of the 8 plus million who make this quaint burg such a lively and livable place…

caught in the exit ramp of our front door…

the owner of this spectacular garment said that her friend made it
from one of those cheesy tapestries (poker playing pups) that once
could be found in the garment district for 10 bucks.

I met this guy at the flea market and immediately
wanted to buy the shirt off his back.

This is the basic "Love Portal" costume for Matt Silver, a performance
artist frequently seen in Union Square.

This young man and his colorful menagerie were hanging near Madame
Taussaud's Wax Museum inTimes Square.

neighborhood kids roaring up the sidewalks...

This woman was part of a "save the bees" demonstration in
Union Square and my surreal sensitive antennae were quickly
tweaked by the costume.  Also, I completely support this very
important issue.

This woman was taking a break with her Macaw before heading
over to the San Gennaro festival in Little Italy.

"HEADZUP"

When I was in the 3rd grade I made flip books on pads of paper my dad brought home from his office.
A half century or so later, I find myself drawing animated gifs on my computer. Watching the drawings
come to life gives me the same sense of wonder they did then…
