PENTIMENTO- NYC

Pentimento,... the presence or emergence of earlier images, forms, or strokes          that have been changed and painted over.

I admit to a longstanding fascination with the curious and often beautiful      abstractions that occur with the layering of poster walls in NYC.

This wall in Chelsea has changed continuously for the past 8 years.

A collage was wheat pasted over pre-existing torn paper shards

on a back street wall in Soho.
