"THEY WALK AMONG US" - MASK CITY
Like most of us, I love Halloween, and, like many of us, I have been taking photographs of this classic ritual for quite some time. For many years I would go down to the staging area for the Halloween parade in Greenwich Village. At some point I realized my favorite photos were of costumed people out of context on the side streets or subways or buying beer in a bodega. Recently, I found a batch of vintage masks that I had purchased years ago. With the help of some friends, I decided to recreate some of those out of context moments…
Happy Halloween!

"WHEAT PASTE CITY"
Wheat paste ups still comprise a large presence in the open air gallery of NYC streets. They come in all shapes and sizes, and often involve a considerable amount of intricate cutting and coloring. They are also perhaps the most ephemeral form of street art.
Enjoy them while they last..

BANKSY TAKES NEW YORK
International street art eminence, Banksy, arrived in NYC and word had it that he would do a piece somewhere in the city each day, for one month. A friend tipped me on a location for the third day and when I arrived, there was a small streetside buzz with cel phones and cameras snapping away. It was most fascinating watching the public interaction with a piece of art.
