The Coney Island Mermaid Parade is always a hoot, and this years gathering was no exception. It's like the nautical version of halloween with a whimsical, weird, political, and wonderfully creative celebration that marks the beginning of the summer season.

WELLING COURT MURAL FESTIVAL

  Last week we headed out to Queens for the 9th Annual Welling Court Mural Festival.    Artists arrived from everywhere to participate in this notable event and the clicking sounds 
of shaking cans and local boom boxes filled the air.
